I don't see the difference. I took graduate courses from several Rabbis and they used the expression "the Jews." I'm not sure what your problem is.

I don't have a problem. I'd be curious to know which Rabbis used the phrase "The" (with a capital "T") Jews. I also took courses and classes and those (Orthodox) Rabbis found the phrase offensive and derogatory.

    They preferred the Jewish People.

Oh, wait - I do have a problem. I have a problem when someone posts something and within a handful of hours can't remember what she said.

I'm always amused by the "Love God" people who can't wait to swipe at something they don't understand - such as Judaism. I think (much as you think about The Jew) that there are two problems with organized religion: (1) People who are repenting or regreting something or other and, therefore, have turned into zealots; (2) People who judge others based on "their" religious beliefs. Oh, wait, there's a third. People who can barely form words and sentences and suddenly see the light and feel compelled to discuss it (using words they barely understand).
Post number 30 comes before 32. You said it in your critical overview in my answer to the OP. I assumed it was directed to me as the rest of the response was directed to me. Then I assumed you dug it up from something I said before. I couldn't imagine saying it as I think I do well in forming words and sentences. Some people just don't care for them.

I don't know why "JEW" is offensive.. and "Jewish" is not. But if I have offended anyone by saying using that term... a biblical one... ( wait... we are on the christianity board.. aren't we?) than I am sincerely sorry.

Again JK... I have yet to see your response to the OP. I will scroll upward... must have missed it. :)
