    Eye issue
I have a Pembroke corgi who is just over one year old. He was fine when he came out of his crate yesterday morning but I noticed that his eye was starting to have trouble opening after he came inside and ate breakfast. There is no swelling, however he looks as though he's crying and his eye is bloodshot. I've looked that the eye ball itself and cannot see any scratches or odd marks. Throughout the day his eye opens normally, but then about 10 minutes later goes back to the half closed state. He has not had any issues and none of the toys that are left in his crate have sharp edges. Any ideas?

An eye that he is unwilling to hod open and is watering is definitely bothering him.
It could be that something is in the eye or that he has scratched the cornea, sometimes they are minute and you may not see them.
Or it could have been that the eye was bothering him to begin with and he has been pawing at it and injured the eye.
The only way to know for certain what is going on with the eye is to have the vet take a look.
I wouldn't suggest to put anything in the eye until that time except sterile saline to wash it out.
You can pick this up most anywhere.

He needs to see a Vet - I know it's a quick answer but you are dealing with his vision. Did he scratch himsef with his nail?

Unless you're a Doctor you probably can't see scratches or odd marks. All you'll do is irritate his eye.

My GSD had eye problems, very similar. It ended up that she had Horners Sydrome, an injury to the nerve that runs to the eye. How and why? I'll never know.

I've seen this problem in many of my foster dogs, sounds like an eye cold. Does the problem eye have any discharge? In the corner? Around the bottom or top? Could be a yellow-green color, or simply white.

Foxums is better now! Still looks like he's got a little bit of tears coming out, but all in all he's back to being wide-eyed and adorable :) Definitely think it was just an ye cold after looking into it more and asking the vet :)
