    Some states have provision for collecting "small estates" by affidavit. Depending on whichever state it is, it's a matter of simply giving an affidavit to the storage space, or filing it with the court, requiring the judge to sign an order.

    Either way, she has to get a court to authorize her to represent the estate. Unless she has the key to the storage space. In that case, the place probably won't care.
