    Is she pregnant
I had intercourse with a friend. She said she was scared she might be pregnant. 28 hours later I handed her a 72hr contraceptive pill. She took them according to the instructions. Its been 4 1/2 weeks approximately. She's a week and a half late and she keeps scaring me saying she isn't on her period yet. And she says her stomach has inflated. Please help me find an answer? Thank you.

Maybe she hasn't started her period yet because the pill delayed her period.

Has she taken a pregnancy test? If so and it was positive You two should go to the doctor and get it checked out because if she is pregnant then you would need to figure out what would happen next.

What answer do you want? You risked pregnancy by engaging in sex. If you didn't want pregnancy then why did you engage in sexual intercourse?

Either she is pregnant or she isn't. The only way to tell is with a pregnancy test about 1-2 weeks after she misses her period.

If she is pregnant, then be prepared to pay child support for the next 18 or so years.

So was she on regular birth control pills ? Did you use a condom ?

Of course even using the above, and it sounds like you did not, she could be pregnant.

So yes, you had sex, so now you need to start thinking about baby names and how you are going to pay for the birth, baby supplies and things.

Of course, if you or her had read the instructions with the "morning after pill" you would see also it is less effective the longer you wait, and has little effect after 72 hours, so even it had a lesser effect waiting as long as you did.

But the pill will cause her to miss her next period normally as it will also have other effect

She has taken two pregnancy tests and they are both negative. I don't know what to do really . Because she is really scaring me.

There is nothing you can do but wait until her next period is due.

You can, in the future, keep it in your pants.

I'm sure she's not pregnant because that did happen to me once and I started my period a week later. To keep a the safe side go to the doctor.

I know you want to help, but you are "sure" she's not pregnant? Have you examined her body? Done an ultrasound? Done bloodwork? Because that is the ONLY way you can be sure. Just because something happened to you, doesn't mean it applies to others. We pride ourselves on the accuracy of the advice we give here. So don't say you are sure about something if its impossible for you to be sure.

Welcome to the joys of sex. There's nothing you can do but wait, hope, and if you're religious, pray.

No birth control method is 100% effective, and the morning after pill is not 100% either.

Could she be pregnant? Sure. Is this just a side affect of the morning after pill? Could be. Can we tell you which one it is? No. We can't diagnose over the internet.

So you wait until her next period is due and then test again if she misses it. It can take months for an accurate result on a pregnancy test. Some women never get a positive result through their entire pregnancy.

You just have to play the waiting game. Hardly seems worth the few seconds of pleasure you got out of it, does it?

Well if you want to have sex the prepare yourself for these "accidents".

And if you didn't prepare yourself for this then go to the doctor. Be a bit more responsible. These are the consequences for having unsafe sex.

I'm curious to know, what's safe sex? There's no such thing. There's safer sex, but truthfully, even if you use every birth control known to man, pregnancy is a possibility.

The only way to avoid pregnancy 100% is to not have sex.
