i need help with my accounting homework
I am at a loss can someone please help me??

    the question is as follows...

Hoopaloop commenced operations on 1 July 2010. The accounts receivable and accounts payable balances at that time were:

    Details
    Accounts receivable
    Game Supplies 1500.00
    Sports Inc. 2000.00
    Favours 1000.00
    =4500.00

    Accounts payable
    Plastic supplies 500.00
    Games Wholesalers 200.00
    Plan Services 800.00
    =1500.00

There are different entries in our Sales Distibution Journal, Purchases Journal, Cash Receipts and Cash payments journal.

    1. Record the opening balances in the accounts receivable and accounts payable subsidiary ledgers.

    2. Post the transactions for July tot eh Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable subsidiary ledgers.

    3. Extract a list of balances from the accounts receivable and accounts payable subsidiary ledgers.

    Well, this is my question??

I obviously rule up my ledgers-accounts receivable and accounts payable and I group the transactions that are like transactions together but what do I do with cash sales for the month? Wages that are paid ou etc?

The teacher hasn't included that he wants a general ledger entry? What should I do?

There is a cash receipts journal and a cash payments journal. There could be a cash sales journal and a payroll journal
Such journals might exist fror all classes of repetative transactions
What you do is show us the work you have done and we will comment on it otherwise go to the homework help board
