1994 Honda civic CX no spark and no power to fuel pump. Car cranks over no start?
I have a 1994 Honda Civic CX, check engine light came on and would not idle, car would also skip at highway speeds some. Next morning started car seems to work fine, then engine light started to come on, first dim and solid. Replaced plugs, plug wires, distributor cap and button no change. Approximately 1hour late tried car no start, car would crank over but no start. Now there is no spark and no power to the fuel pump. My mechanic would on it for 6 hours with no result. He said they tried replacing the Main Relay and the ECU. Looking for ideas that I can give to him. Thanks

6 hours? And can't come up with an answer?
First, you need another shop. Try using the shop finder in my signature to locate another shop to diag your car.
Second, let them diagnose the fault and come back here and let us know what they found.

If the CEL consistently comes on for 2 seconds and then goes out, when the ignition switch is turned to ON (Position II), then focus on the distributor. Normally, replacing the Ignition Control Module (ICM) and coil, located inside the distributor, solves the problem. Apply silicone heat transfer compound to the back of the new ICM. It should take no more than 45 minutes.
