    Bathtub faucet pipe extension
Hi, I just purchased a foreclosure. In our guest bath, the pipe for the bathtub faucet is too short to fit our new Delta fixtures we purchase (there was nothing but this tiny pipe coming out of the wall when purchased). Is there an extension of some sort I can try? The guy at Lowe's blew me off saying the box should have come with one. 10 minutes later and 4 of the same fixture boxes opened---I proved him wrong. He then said the only way to fix it is to weld the pipe?

This doesn't make much sense to me. I'd really appreciate the help!

Is this a faucet stub or tub spout? You can solder a stubout but with very little water pressure on a tub spout I have been able to use 5 minute epoxy with great success. If the piece sticking out from the wall is threaded, get an IP to copper tube adapter and thread it on. Then, you can epoxy a longer piece on the end. If the spout is threaded, you can use a brass nipple and connectorextension.
