    Demon and nightmares
Hello I'm looking for some help or advice about my situation I've been have having. I don't like to talk about it to anyone for fear that people will think I'm crazy hell even I think I might be crazy. Me and my boyfriend moved into a older home not sure the age, nice place though. Everything been going good then lately I started having nightmares being awakened by them and feeling a presence in the bedroom, I've woken up to seeing 2 red eyes and razor sharp teeth beside my bed snapping at me I quickly turned on the light and woke my boyfriend up. It disappeared I end up staying awake the rest of the night. It's been the same for awhile then quiets down and nothing. Then last night I had a horrible nightmare again about an evil presence it scared me right awake again, I tried to go back to sleep but as soon as I did a voice called out to me and said it's a demon, I jumped out of bed left the lights on and stayed up, even my daughter says the dead people live here and won't let shut the door or turn out the lights, she is 5 years old and is not exposed to any kind of ghostly stuff. So is it just me or is there some kind of evil presence there?

No, it's not just you... this happens quite frequently (most people just don't talk openly about it). Most likely a spirit was residing in the house you moved into. I'm very familiar with the types of dreams you are having as I have had them myself... it can fill a room with evil... I know. I also know that Jesus Christ has absolute authority over such situations. You need to bring a pastor in on this situation.

    Help! Can't take it anymore
I just wrote previously and got some
Good advice, but these dreams alongside with paranormal activity happening is continuing, I've started to feel very tired depressed and not myself. Yesterday I was going over my bills in the dining room when I felt like I was being watched I kept staring At something but nothing was there, then seeing distorted figures passing by doors and mirrors. They don't give of a good vibe, something evil almost that is there and has come for me. I'm very open to these things and not scared of ghost but this doesn't feel like a good spirit or a restless one at that, it seems to be something else. I'm helpless and whatever it seems to have grabbed me mentally and taking over physically. Im not Christian but have another faith, I'm native American and have strong beliefs in god and believe in the other world as would call it, it's not suppose to be feared but what is happening to me is something far more frightening, I don't know if I'm going crazy or what, I have told others but it's like no one is really believing me, I've prayed and done other ceremonial things too, anymore answers would be helpful

    Thank you
    Helpless

Did you follow the advice of AMHD's paranormal expert?

People either believe in these things or they don't -

    Why not move?

Apparently the house has character and ghosts or spirits or whatever - at any rate, did you follow the advice on the other thread?

Your child is frightened to live there. If you don't move your own peace of mind I would move for her sake.

Yeah moving would be the answer, another thing is that I have been followed by something when I was younger too it made me sick, the elders held a ceremony for me and took it away I kept seeing this things and evil things I knew were round me, maybe it's not the house but me something following me again?

Another thing I was told was that a witch is trying to hurt me sending evil things after me and making sick, my culture believes in witches people that practice bad medicine and use it against others for their own purposes, things didn't start happening till now it's been years since the ceremony was done but it was gone, now it's back but more vengeful I feel it!

So, let me get this straight... my advice was "good" but obviously not good enough to try. You've tried other things according to your beliefs... which aren't working... and you want more advice?

Believe me friend, I understand your situation completely, of course I cannot force you to follow or believe anything. I will still be there if you're willing to try something new. I'm not trying to pull you away from your heritage... only to offer you a clearer understanding of what is going in your home.

    Hi,
I don't even have too look at the other relpies to know what the "advice" was. I will try to give you some unbiased help.

First, depending on the type of spirit, throwing religion in their faces is the worst thing you could do. I could probably find quotes from a number of prominent authors on the paranormal and parapsychology that state that poltergeist hauntings are made worse with religion. Numerous accounts talk of unsuccessful blessings by clergy. It is common for the problem to go away for awhile, and then come back with a vengeance! Probably not the solution that you were looking for.

I can think of several ghosts that Christ may not be overly effective on... Jewish, Buddhist, Islamic, Hindu, Atheists. Having a Catholic priest tell a hard core Lutheran to go away... not good business. "Ghost of Rabbi Goldstien... the powers of Christ compel you!" - not going to work. I'm not running down or trying to offend peoples beliefs and religions.. . The forest would be rather boring if only one bird were allowed to sing.

Another problem lays in the fact that you may not have a demon at all! The afterlife is full of evil ghosts... the souls of people who were evil while alive. Death rows in prisons are filled to the brim with future evil ghosts. Many ghosts and poltergeists will assume the role of a demon. That is not to say that they are a demon, but rather that they play act the role... some of the more demented ones may actually believe they are. Demented people don't suddenly become Mother Theresa because they die... they remain demented [unless they go into the light to grow and evolve - but that's a different story]. So you may be dealing with a jerk, but not a demon. Inciddently, if a person had no desire to accept religion when alive... chances are slim that death will change that attitude... especially when the dead realize that they have total freedom.

There is no reason to give up your home or your beliefs. Neither will accomplish much. Giving up a home that is haunted is just passing the buck to the next guy - yeah, that's great advice. Maybe some poor guy like "Butch" DeFoe will move in and not being able to handle the situation.. . you get my point.

Bringing more stress into your situation and home is not the answer, as ghosts thrive off that energy. The more negative energy created, the worse the situation. You and yours have a history brimming with spirits and dealing with the situation in a shamanistic way. And if that is your belief, then that is your solution. I live in Canada, I deal a lot with various native American peoples and customs. Just because your beliefs are different that does not make them ineffective.

Unfortunately, I can not give you any information on how to contact me directly. So I can only say that I hope that this brief message has somehow helped.

    Take care,

This is both unfair and dismissive to everyone who posts on AMHD on a regular basis. You are certainly entitled to your opinions and theories; you are not entitled to have a superior attitude when it comes to other people who are only trying to help.

I suggest that you read the other advice that's been posted. Until you have, your advice is not unbiased, not in the least.

It's fine... this is certainly one subject above many where spiritual beliefs are going to conflict.

I agree, but the manner in which this poster posted, stating that he didn't need to read the other posts, dismissing the experts that posted here, is not okay.

He may have great info to give. But he's not the be all end all. He needs to learn to respect the other people posting here. Everyone has something to contribute, not just him. :)

Can I ask you what your nightmares are about? Are they complicated? Do they ever seem like they have hidden issues? I am asking because I have nightmares and odd occurrences...

I have no problem with conflicting beliefs - I do have a problem with this person's dismissive attitude. It's not what was posted, it's the way it was posted.

Not one ounce of respect -

I'm not going back to check and Haunting Helper doesn't need me to say good job, bad job, but the advice is always solid, compassionate, ever short, always comprehensive.

On the other hand I already have a bad taste in my mouth which the "newbie" has brought on himself.

My nightmares seem sort of complicated, there always seems to be a house with multiple rooms they become dark and scary and it feels like someone is watching me. Family and friends seem to appear nothing out of the ordinary on how they act in the dream, then something scary happens usually a figure or shadow is in the house and we go looking for it, I'm glad I'm not alone in the dream as I have family members and friends with me, I always see red eyes but can't make out it then it comes after me calling my name. This last time it was in the basement in an opening a square hole with a sheet of metal half covering this hole, we ran for our lives as you could feel how strong and evil it felt. And all I can remember is it eyes and saying I'm a demon. Then I wake up frightened to death

From my experiences demonic entities will manifest in dreams mostly to install fear. Rarely do they want to try and give you a message... it's all about fear and letting you know they are there.
