Yes, times have changed, but not necessarily for the better. But no times haven't changed as much as you think. The main change is that things that were more private in the past are more open. You would be very surprised at how little things have actually changed.

For example, I felt the same way, My parents grew up in a different time. How could they understand what I was going through. But when I got older, I came to understand how much they knew about life. You will too.

Now you just have to accept that times really haven't changed that much. If I told you stories about my teen years, your head would spin. I was not as mature as you seem to be, and I didn't listen, or care about what my parents said. Like you, I thought that they wouldn't understand because times had changed. I also had a past that lead to a lot of my bad choices.

Bad decisions are bad decisions. Things are more public now, like Scott said. The internet has caused a lot of differences in the way that I lived, and the way that you live. That and cell phones, texting. None of those changes have been for the better. But, other than those things, your teen years are very much like the years I spent as a teen. I only hope you make better choices than I did. :)

Yea I understand now that times haven't changed for the better. But me and my mom are still very different people. I'm sure she has an idea of how growing up at my age seems though and I respect her opinion(: (on most things) ^~^
