    Why would Mugshots.com publish arrest records of innocent people?
    My friend found out he is not guilty.

    He found out? Didn't he know from the outset whether he was guilty? Or a court has found him not guilty?

    To answer your question, Mugshots.com posts information on suspected criminals because that information is available and people find that information interesting.

    Because being arrested doesn't assume guilt, only that a determination of guilt is forthcoming. Fact is they were still arrested.
