    Carporate law case studies
    A promisery note was made without mentioning any time for payment.The holder added the words on demand on the face of the instrument.State wheather it amounted to material alteration and explain the effect of such alteration?

    Open your textbook and see what it says. We don't do homework - and this question is about as basic as the law gets.

    The same, or very similar, question was asked on this forum a few weeks ago. Except that it wasn't obviously homework.

    If it IS homework you would think the OP could spell promissory. Or maybe not.

    That's why I've told the site editors to edit with a VERY light touch -- spelling and grammar and phrasing tell a lot about someone. Rewriting something like this so it looks like Mrs. Hedrick (my 4th grade teacher) wrote it does a disservice to everyone.
