When my husband passed away 5 years ago one of the credit card companies he was primary on was accidentally not notified. The ones that were notified closed the sent me a notice and closed the accounts. Since I received no notification from this company I assumed I was also on the account and continued to use it. I found out while checking into a minor problem that they assumed he was still alive and in a state of panic did not inform them otherwise. I have fallen on very hard times and am having trouble making the payments on it and the late fees and interest are now causing additional fees for being over the limit. I have reached the point where I probably need to file bankruptcy.
