I am 13 and me and my boyfriend kissed for the first time last week he kissed me but it was a really quick kiss. I want to snog him we were watching the TV yesterday and I almost made the move but I got worried I think he's shy I was his first kiss.

Please remember that some slang expressions may be local and not understood by everyone. So you need to define what snog means.

Snog apparently is british slang for intimacy that can go from kissing and cuddling up to more sexual activity, depending on who you ask.

Just because you have engaged in such activity before doesn't mean you aren't too young. At 13 you are, In my opinion, too young to engage in such activity. But I understand that children (and you are a child) are trying to grow up too fast and emulate more adult activity. By your insults, you really seem too immature to be engaging in such adult activity like having a boyfriend.

I'm not surprised you think my comments were not helpful. But in fact they were. You just don't want to hear the truth. The truth is that the media is glorifying certain adult behaviors to the point that children want to emulate them before they are ready to deal with the consequences. Children need to grow up more before they start acting like adults.

Once you post a question on a site like this, you open yourself up to any comment as long as it doesn't violate our rules.

If you are afraid to ask your mother this question what makes you think a responsible adult will tell you when to snog someone?

You may have done the snogging thing before, but if you are not sure when to do it now, then don't. He isn't ready, and neither are you, so wait until you know you are. Hopefully many years from now.
