If a rental company no longer represents an owner are my deposits returned to me?
If a rental company terminates their business with an owner at the end of my lease and the owner is not responding to any contact, who gets my deposit check?

Answered on your other thread - 6 years on a written contract, 3 years on an oral agreement.

It transfers with the property - but your other threads indicate you also didn't pay your rent.

Why don't you post the whole story so you can get correct advice?

Thank u. The owner is not responding to the rental company and they are dropping him when the lease is over. Im not sure if he will contact me or not to collect going forward. I wasn't sure how long to hold what the rent would be and am trying to find a new place

I am paid and up to date. The owner moved over seas and when they tried to contact him for repairs he will not respond. He only gave them an email account when he moved. They won't rep him after the 31st and I don't have any way to pay him if he decides to not contact me on the 1st. Im not sure what to do if I move out soon if I can't find him to pay any rent he didn't collect on

You have a lease and it will expire, so you will be a month-to-month tenant at will, correct?

If the rental company is collecting your rent now, but anticipates declaring their contract with the owner at an end upon the expiration of the lease, they should notify you, upon the termination of their contract, of his last known address. You should mail your rental payments to that address. If the checks are returned, or not cashed, you should set up an escrow account and deposit your monthly payments into it.

You can, if you would like, contact your property taxing authority (county probably) for an address. While you are at it, check and see if the taxes are being paid.

It's possible that your landlord has died or something, and no one (next of kin, etc.) has picked up the reins.

    To a moderator:
The threads need to be combined.
To OP: as I said in the other thread, if you don't have an address for him you should deposit the rental payments in an escrow account.
