When summer started I new that my girlfriend and I would not see each other every week. I was OK with that. As long as we saw each other once or twice a week I would be fine. Then her dad made her get a job. This eliminated the possibility of spending time together on weekdays only leaving the weekend and Friday night. We have been out of school for a month now and have only hung out 3 times. Two of which were very brief(supervised movie with parents and about 20 minutes in my backyard one night which was tainted by girl drama). I'm starting to get frustrated that her parents keep making and already difficult situation even harder on us. Frankly I don't understand why this is happening. I've always been very polite around her family. I don't know much about the dynamics of her home life ,but she is always arguing with someone. I'm just really confused and stuck in a way less than ideal situation.

Opinions and fresh perspectives are always welcome.

You're going to forget what each other looks like.

Aren't you texting and IMing and emailing each other?

You said this on June 9th (bolding is mine) --

It is now summer for us and we will be incredibly busy. I get that it will be next to impossible to see each other every day, but I am worried as to how much we will actually see each other. It's difficult to go from being with an amazing girl like her everyday to not knowing when I'll get to see her next. I've hinted that texting isn't going to help our relationship ,but she isn't getting it.

Both of you are 16. It sounds like you are more invested in this relationship than she is.

We said that we'd set aside Friday aside for each other which isn't happening.

Explaining girl drama: she was with her friend at the time who was mad at her boyfriend. She had my girlfriend call him to find out what he really thought about her. Since he didn't know we were there we had to be quite and then she had to leave when he finally hung up.

I'm working too but we work at different times.

How old are you all ? Friend calling friend to see what they think, that is just so childish.

We're 16. Its hard to have any personal time to ourselves ,and day after day stuff keeps coming up that gets in our way.

We've established that we love each other. We say it a lot but I think I have stronger feelings than she does.

Are you a little bit worried that she might lose interest in you if the two of you don't see each other very often?

Do you have a car or use of one?

How far away is she?

Are your get-togethers always supervised by a parent?

She lives close but I would feel weird just walking over and bugging her. We can't drive for another 6 months or so in our state. We are usually supervised at one point or another, parents are driving or coming down to check on us when we're at home. I'm not worried about her losing interest. I miss the physical (not sexual) aspect of our relationship (holding her hand etc.).
