    Dog peeing without control
My dog is 10 years and has a baseball size growth on his chest. The vet said it was a fatty tissue years ago. But for the last month he hasn't controlled his pee. Could this be a sign for the worst?

Older dogs can become incontinent and still live long and happy lives just like humans.

However, I would take him in for a check up to make certain he doesn't have a urinary tract infection or other medical condition that can be treated.

Do you mind telling us what breed/mix he is?

    Hi,
I have a 12year old German Short haired pointer that has lived in the house since he was a puppy and has been toilet trained since then. But in the last month he has started waking up in the night asking to go to the toilet, and its getting worst. In the last week, he was waking us up every two hours. If we didn't get up he would pee on the floor. He also has those fat lumps, but he's had them since he was six or seven, and the vet tested them, and they weren't cancerous.
Just wondering if you found out what was wrong with your dog, because the our vet currently doesn't know what's wrong.

Your dog is getting old and just like older people, needs to use to pee more. He may be drinking a lot of water which is resulting in this problem. Because he is aging, I would test for diabetes and UTI. Both issues are completely treatable. If his vet check is clean, just limit his water intake. My old GSP ladies will stand and drink for minutes on end. I have to tell them to stop otherwise they will make a mistake in the house.
