Hello A:
We have ONE lawyer in NJ, but she's not here right now. But, we're certainly free. Tell us what's going on.

Really, where? Who? I thought they all started charging because the Free model wasn't earning them much money for all those years of law school.

Hello smoothy:
I've had enough of these questions to realize the fault lies in the software, most likely the GO skin, and NOT the OP. The devs are where your criticism should be aimed.

For the OP... if you have a question... you have to ask us that question. We don't have local offices you can walk into for free advice. And our resident mind readers are out on strike.
This isn't Google. If you want an answer you have to ask a specific question first. OR you can use the search function at the top of the page.

Here, Smoothy. Me. I don't charge on here. And I finished paying for law school a long time ago.

Yeah... but are you providing free walk in service and representation? Other than the obvious online help like we all provide. I'll tell anyone how to do something themselves free of charge... but if they want me to do it for them... its going to cost some coin.
Seems like that's what the OP was after... unless they come back and expand beyond the original 5 words.

I definitely provide free online advice if I have knowledge on the topic. I'm not likely to provide free walk-in service and representation unless the OP is related to me. But it's not unheard of.
Then again they didn't ask for free walk-in service or representation yet, did they?

Here in Northern Illinois we have the Prairie State Legal Service, attorneys who work pro bono or at low-cost for people who qualify. Is there something like that in NJ?

Sure seemed like it from their original post... "FREE LAWYER IN PATERSON NJ " but then, maybe THEY were planning on providing the free legal service in Patterson, NJ.

Sure. There are plenty of pro-bono organizations in NJ. But the OP posted this in Small Claims so it's unlikely that there will be an attorney who will handle it.

Exactly... many states won't even allow a Lawyer into the courtroom in small claims court. Unless one of the two parties ARE a lawyer. Not sure where NJ falls on this topic. The OP clearly needs to say more.

And until the OP returns to give more info, we don't know if Small Claims is even the appropriate forum for his question (if he has one). Thanks, Lisa, about the pro bono info.
