If you post a draft of your letter here, it's possible that we might advise you as to how to edit it so that it will read the best for those to whom it is intended.

What is your defense? That is important.

Even though your question is similar to the original question in this thread, we ask you to please start a new thread of your own.

What you are talking about is usually referred to as "pleading", specifically an "answer" to the plaintiff's "complaint". So I will assume that is what you are asking for, albeit with a different name.
    What you do is this:

    • As to each allegation (sentence, paragraph, etc.) in Plaintiff's complaint, either deny or admit.
    • If you don't know whether it's true or false, say "I don't know because ___", and deny.
    • Sometimes it's also a good idea to include, after your specific denials or admissions, affirmative defenses, such as that what plaintiff is asking for is barred by the statute of limitations.
    • Have a place for your signature, followed by a form for a notary to fill out which would go something like this:
    • "Subscribed and sworn to before me on [such and such a date] by [your name].
    • Then you sign it before the notary.
