I have never signed a written lease or never signed a verbal lease agreement..
I been staying in my home for a year now.. landlord never told me how much rent I was paying... I never signed a lease or a verbel agreement about how much rent was... my landlord never came and fix anything in the home... I paid for everything to be fix... such as windows... rewiring the electric that was out of date... paying for a gas meter to put back in the yard... and paying extra for the water company to come out to install another water meter... so what will happen to me and the landlord on this situation!! PLEASE HELP ME!

You are a month to month renter, the landlord can merely evict you with a one month notice.

He may thank you for fixing up his property, but since he did not authorise any of it, he does not owe you.

Also what rent do you pay, and if no rent why, what was the agreement to allow you to live there.

    Hello V:

Seems to me like you got a pretty good deal. You don't pay rent, but just do maintenance. That ain't bad.

And we actually did such a deal with a rental property some welfare bums wrecked. A disabled Vet was interested in renting the house and offered to do the repairs in Lieu of rent which he agreed to do a certain amount of work per month minimum we were made aware of what in advance and was welcomed to visit and confirm he was actually doing it.

At one point he made a very fair offer to us to buy the house and we took him up on his offer.

Done correctly... it can benefit both parties.
