Punched In Face.. can I sue - HELP ASAP please
I was punched in the face (unprovoked)at a restaurant. I am suffering from post concussive syndrome for about 10 days now. I went to the ER and the C-scan was good but they said it could take weeks to months to completely heal. I am a partner in a business and a single father and both and all aspects of my life have changed since this happened. Is it worth suing him? I have speech issues, focus and concentration problems, Migraine type headaches 24/7 as well as other problems as a result of this punch... please advise ASAP

    Hello j:

If he has assets, sure. If he's a telemarketer, I wouldn't bother.

    Hello again, j:

Now that I've given a thrill to my friend, kit, I have some better news for you...

You said you were in a restaurant. Depending on LOTS of things, the restaurant may hold some culpability. It won't cost anything to shop your case to a few lawyers. They'll tell you right away.

Who punched you... a patron or an employee of the restaurant? Result of an argument? In 49 years I've been breathing I've never seen anyone get punched who was doing absolutely nothing (but it is remotely possible if the person committing the assult was mentally ill). And I've seen a LOT of fights, even been in some myself. Even the guy I have seen get shot had some part in what lead up to it. Yeah, I saw that part too.

Because if this goes to court... you ARE going to be asked that on the stand.

And if the person committing the assult was a headcase off their meds... good luck winning much less collecting.
