A/C not working, companies not helping
Can someone please help me? I'm about to loose control. I purchase this home last year September. The a/c was working. This is my first summer. No cool air. I have had 6 different A/C companies to come out. The blame is the builders didn't sode the joints together properly. So I had that done. Now it's a restriction. One company says no restriction, a leak in the wall, one company says no leak a restriciton. All I know is I'm hot. I can't keep paying money and the air not working. The home warranty company - Old Republic refuse to pay for anything. What do I need to do?

First you need to get it fixed if your comfort is important. Roll the dice and pick a company and tell them you are holding them to there word AND written estimate that they will fix the unit for XXXX if this part or service is repaired by them since they know exactly what the problem is. In other words DO NOT get into a situation where they end up fixing five or six different things as they are GUESSING what they are doing. I believe you know what I mean.

After the problem is taken care of and YOU have kept all the paperwork from the repairs it will be Home Warranty time. If they refuse to pay then it will be States Attorney general time or whatever division of state government takes care of insurance complaints/ fraud. If they took your money and will not provide the service you paid for the insurance company has performed an act of fraud against you.

Do not feel bad since many people are in exactly the same position you are in. In this world there are many fly by night people in all the trades. Always be careful of who you deal with but if you find a good repair company treat them like gold since they are very rare and hard to come by.
