    How long are the lines off your septic tank
    Looking to install an above ground pool. Generly how long do the lines run off your septic tank? My home was built in 1993

    They are as long as they are, some may be 100 plus feet long, others 20 feet. It will depend on the requirements for total footage needed. There should be an inspector for the city or county that approved the system being installed that will have a diagram of it showing the locatons, and the size, direction and total footage of the system.

    Those lines are called The drain field or filter bed, (see image) How long and how many depends upon the amount of liquid your soil can percolate away. Good percolation equals shorter and less lines while soil that does not disperse well needs longer and more lines. You need to get a local septic company out to tell you what you have. Good luck, Tom
