Blower motor runs in reverse ruud
    Hi,

I have a Ruud furnace and the blower won't come on in the "on" or "auto" position. I can hear a humming sound but the blower won't start. If I give it a spin in the direction indicated on the blower housing nothing happens. But if I give it a spin in the reverse direction it will spin but not up to speed and get hot and eventually shut off. I replaced the run cap to no avail.

    Thanks

Since you already replaced the capacitor your next stop is to replace the motor AND also replace the capacitor with the exact type and size listed for the new motor.

I have a Armstrong Air/Ultra V/Advantage 93 (built by Lennox?) and my blower motor doesn't get up to high speed. I ran only in "fan" mode and the motor gets too hot to touch. Is it a bad motor, bad capacitor, board... The failure code is saying OK (steady flash).
