    Hi, lisaann1!

I'm sorry that you are feeling and thinking the way that you are! It's not easy to lose a parent at so young an age!

Do you have brothers or sisters, please?

    Thanks!

Hi Lisaanne.. I'm sorry about your Dad. I myself do not believe the dead talk to the living. That's only my opinion. I think you will make your Dad proud and he will always be part of you.

I think there is a heaven and someday when it's our time.. when it's Gods time, we will be with our Dad's again. I am older than you and I know how grief can paralyze you.

Your Dad would want you to be happy and if could speak to you he would tell you; "You are never alone".

Talk to God. Unburden yourself and let him help you carry your grief. Your Dad would want you to grow up and be a good person and someday get married and have children.
I want you to know I'm here and I know how it feels... You can talk to us anytime... Kit

You've asked about speaking to the dead. So, it stands to reason that maybe you think the dead might be somewhere where we can communicate with them.

Both my mother and father are long gone now. However, I do know that I'll see them again.

Would you like to know how I know that, please?

Oops! We lost you for right now, lisaann1!

You'll hopefully get a number of responses here. It would be helpful if you would respond to each of them.

    Thanks!

Have you had any kind of grief counseling? Have you looked into support groups for children who've lost a loved one?

My niece goes to a camp called 'camp hope' for kids who've lost family members. She spends a week or two during the summer with other kids who are going through the same emotions. They have group therapy and private therapy sessions, along with the standard camp activities. It's help her a lot with dealing with her father's death.

You should look into therapy or a support group or bereavement camp. You, obviously, need someone to talk to who knows what you're going through. You also need to be able to talk about your father. You can't heal if you're not allowed to talk about your memories and what he meant to you.
