Accessing the Net using a Nintendo DS Lite Web Browser
I am in the process of deciding whether to get the Web Browser for my Nintendo DS Lite, and there are two things I'd like to know before making my decision. First of all, my home internet provider is Sky, and in the past (eg on Animal Crossing) I have found that Sky does not support Nintendo Wi-Fi. Would I have the same problem with the new Web Browser and if not would I need the WEP key to get into it? Secondly, I have read a few reviews where people have complained that they can't get on to a few websites and was wondering if Facebook would be one of those sites which is not supported (facebook would be one of the main reasons I am buying this software)?
    Thank you :)

NDS using the B protocol for wifi connection. The Sky supplied netgear box does support this, but by default is set to G.
If you have already made the needed changes to use Animal Crossing online then there isn't anything else to do.
The WEP key is, I believe, printed on a sticker on the box itself, or on a card you received with it.

As for the web browser, you may have issues with some sites as I don't think an NDS supports Flash.
Best thing is to give it a try and see what you think.

So, how would I go about making these changes? And will it affect the way my housemates mac laptop connects to the wireless? I don't want to tamper without her permission (she pays for the internet) but I need to be able to reassure her that it won't affect her.

B is the slower connection at 11 Mbps whereas G is 54 Mbps, so that's the only change really.

Bear in mind that your Sky connection is a maximum of 16 mbps you won't actually notice any difference. So all good.

Oh thanks, that's good, so how would I change the setting?

I would see if you can access the Router before making any changes, you never know you might be lucky.
You just need the WEP (network) key for this option.

No worries, just be VERY careful of the agree/disagree box underneath posts.
Kind of annoys people if you get it wrong ;)

    Yes I see everything..
