Why won't my craftsman, 18 hp Briggs rider start using ignition switch?
Key switch will not engage the starter, however it will work by shorting the posts on the starter relay switch. I have replaced the key switch, starter relay/solenoid, clutch/brake and blade engagement safety switches Did not replace the seat safety switch since the engine when running will shut off when I get off the seat so I assumed it was o.k. HELP!

You likely have a broken wire... do you have a digital voltmeter and know how to use it... or a continuity tester?

Its easy to overlook the obvious when you get in a rush... like seeing the grass getting high and your mower won't start. Happens to all of us from time to time.
