    Dealer changed dates on the paper work
    I had bought a car on 10-27-09 and when after the 2 and a half months I waited I got the reg ant title in mail on the reg it said I bought the car on 12-7-09 he had changed the dates on the pink slip copy I had gotten because he sent it to dmv after his 20 days were up.. when I had bought the car I didn't sign title didn't even see one... and I don't believe that he even had a title at time of sale can a dealer do this??

    Probably not, but this is semi-confusing. If you bought the car on 10-27 and got the registration and title in 2 1/2 months, that's about the average time it takes. I'm surprised he was able to miss the deadline, forge paperwork and then still get you the title that quickly.

    Yes I got the title and reg.. but I never signed the title don't know who did I had called the dmv and there cking into it to.. also he never mailed in the warranty I bought for the van kept the money and now I'm having probs with the transmission so I called an attorney yesterday and he said there is a case it falls under a consumer protection law so now next time I buy a car I will know more about it on how its suppose to go most people would be happy with just getting the title and reg but that won't get me the warranty I paid for to get van fixed

    Didn't you get anything in writing? What did you sign exactly?
