    Put new batterys back in. OR check to be sure you installed the batterys in the correct direction.

    On most items the batteries are there to:

    A: For the backlight
    B: To Backup user settings.

    Remove batteries, cut power to system for several minutes so any erroneous data is flushed. Install batteries, power back up.
    After confirming item is operational, reprogram.
