I have a lump just under my my left knee
I have just noticed a lump under my left kneecap, its very hard and its feels like some bone is sticking out, its about the size of a marble, not painfull but sore!
If anyone has ever had one of these I would be grateful to know what it is.

I don't know how you can detect a lump under your kneecap. A very hard cap to penetrate. Do you mean somewhere near your kneecap ?

I can detect a small protrubence just below my kneecap, at the top of my tibia. It is an unusual place to be tender as it is not connected with a tendon or ligament. I suggest you go to your doctor, and possibly an x ray to see what this is.

It might be the meniscus (below, not under, your kneecap) --

Yes, good call. Unfortunately trouble with that bone is big time and requires attendance. One of my clients has had it done at least twice with poor results. I am not glooming and dooming, but if this is the case OP should nip this in the bud before trouble starts.

Here's more information about the meniscus (tough cartilage), what the symptoms are if you tear it, and what can be done --
