I have a $20 1934A silver certificate with green seal & serial# (not star), in extremely fine condition, Federal Reserve Note is printed at the top, signature is Henry Morganthau Jr. I also have a $5 1963 red certificate with red seal & serial# (no star), in fine condition, United States Note is printed at the top, and the signature is C. Douglas Dillon. Can an expert please respond and let me know what the approximate value of both items are? Thank you.

Yes I did use the FAQ guide for grading. I held the bills up to a light. The $20 only has 4 very slight verticle folds but 2 you can't see unless it is held up to the light. The corners are a little soft, the bill is very firm, but not crisp it will bow slightly in the middle when held by one side, about a50* angle. The ink color is vibrant and the bill is faily clean, there are no holes or tears, there is no graphitti, or stains, there ar 2 soft "smudges" that appear to be fingerprints that have collected dust. The $5 is a little more worn but no tears, the red ink is still crisp, but the overall bill ink isn't dark, and the paper is "yellowed" slightly, there is 1 pin hole on Lincoln's forehead right next to the hair so you can only see it when held to light, the corners aren't torn, but are more rounded, there are 9 verticle folds (3 obvious), and 1 horizontal (obvious), there aren't any stains, but the overall appearance is not filthy, but dusty dirty, there are 2 ink marks on the front (not writing), they are 1 green ink 1mm x 4mm, and 1 blue ink 2mm x 4mm, it is slightly firm, when held by the side it bows closer to that end and almost 90* angle.
I tried to be as fair as possible, I am an extremely detail oriented person with a keen eye, but an untrained one when it comes to this.

Dear Flying Blue Eagle,
It says Federal Reserve Note at the top of the $20, but the bill is silvery shimmery all over, so I don't know what that means as far as if it is a silver note or certificate, I was told it was a certificate, but not by an expert. The treasury seal is L, Bank of San Francisco (inner ring), The Federal Reserve California (outer ring), the serial# is L91205057A. NOW if they were star notes the values would be ( VF-20 ) UNC-63
$15.00 $85.00
