    Demand for ultrasound tech
    Hi I was thinking about going to school for ultrasound technician but I wanted to find out first what the demand is for that career... like is it going to be hard for me to find a job?. I don't want to waste 2 years of school on something I'm not going to find a job for... so if anybody knows please let me know thank you so much

    There is always a demand for people in the medical field... no matter what choice you make. I know of a few techs who make quite a bit of money due to being on call at weird hours, and during weekends.

    Remember, ultrasound techs do not only do pregnant women. (just and FYI, if you didn't already know.)

    Oh OK because my mother works in a nursing home... and the other ultrasound techs said that I'm not going to be able to find a job because all the hospitals and stuff have their ultrasound techs already..

    Then you hire on at a hospital or doctor's office.
