You make a professional decision based on the circumstances and possible outcomes, that's all you can do.

Although I know its hard to reconsille yourself to difficult decisions, from my own experience its better to leave it there and pick up the baton for the next one that needs you.

I know you are right Red... but this one was hard. The decision wasn't actually a decision, I had to help this baby based on it's weight. The outcome won't be good, but I had no other option.

Luckily we saved Mama's life. If that's any consolation I'll take it!

If the rules say the babies weight is viable then you had no choice.

You have guidelines and rules and laws... nature would most likely not seen this baby survive, but nature does not always get a say... you help save someone's daughter/wife/partner/mother... thats good work for one day.

J, I'm so sorry that you had to go through this.

This is why I could never do what you do, it would be too hard. I'm glad that there are people out there that do what you do, so that people like us can sleep easier at night.

You do a wonderful job every day. That's all you can do, nothing more.

In other words, cut yourself some slack lady. :)

    Hugs and love to you.

Sounds like you get a fun week too.

We have two days of school and then Thanksgiving Holiday (well, the holiday plus a teacher's workday).

Thanks for reminding me. Garbage and recycling are messed up this week, too. :(

Garbage. I like hearing about garbage. Haha. It is all I know besides football.

Do they run a day behind then? Here, this week we will be on schedule Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. We are off Thursday then we will work all day Friday and Saturday to make up for being off Thursday which will make Thursday and Friday a day off.

    Sorry for the blabbering
