    OSB subfloor
I am laying hardwood. I had Particle board am replacing with OSB. I laid 3 sheets with cuts. Then I saw the THIS SIDE DOWN pinted on the boards.:o

My 3 borads are shiny side up. Is this going to cause a problem or should I remove and re-attach.

I am working on a remodel and need to move stuff around to do this and live?

I was told that "this side down" only really applies to roofing where traction for walking is a safety issue. It works the same otherwise.

Best to check with the manufacturer since THIS SIDE DOWN is part of their subfloor installation instruction for most brands I have seen. http://osbguide.tecotested.com/pdfs/en/el813.pdf OSB is a bit touchy and edges should not touch each other because this stuff expands and contracts with humidity.
