Sorry if I take some time to respond to the posts. Multitasking sometimes takes me to a long page to read :o

Mauritius is a small volcanic island in the Indian Ocean, to the east of Africa and Madagascar. It's in the tropics, so a mild climate throughout the year, 18-25 C in winter and 25-32 in summer. Hmm, we get frequent storms in summer, cyclones we call them. It got it's independence in 1965 and republic in 1992 (my birth year). Hmm, what else can I say... ah, we may have some of the most beautiful beaches around. It is a multicultural island, with a majority of Indians, then Muslims, then a minority of Chinese and other immigrants.

I agree. We need to watch our money to save enough to travel all over the world.
    It is very important.
I am thinking to buy a condominium here very seriously. I guess I have to save a lot AFTER I spend for good coffee. :)

Lake Michigan is simply beautiful with the beaches and the city right there together Rebecca.

One thing that is unique is that east of Lake Shore drive there is only one building; Lake Point Towers. This allows a clear view of the lake from Lake Shore Drive. I used to have a condo there on the 26th floor near right beside beautiful Navy Pier, very nice.

In the dead of winter though storms blow the waves up over Lake Shore Drive and it gets very slippery. But the waves from the fresh water freeze and it is simply beautiful to look at.

Is the Lake Point Towers building black with a lots of windows?
Do you still have amusement park by the lake there?
I love upside down Chicago pizza.
I also love John Hancock building Sky Lounge. It is just beautiful and amazingly romantic. I went to the sky lounge with my aunt, and since then I am in love with her.

Yep that was where I had a condo. In the fall an unusual thing happen occasionally. Fog would roll in from the lake and the condo has windows from the floor to the ceiling. The top of the fog would be half way up the window, in other words, there was a definite line where the sun was shining above the fog and below was like pea soup.

Navy Pier is the amusement park with a gigantic Ferris Wheel setting high on top of the buildings. That place is all lighted each night with fireworks on the weekends, very beautiful.

I've heard about the upside down deepdish pizza but haven't tried it as yet, I'll have to do that.

Hancock building and Sear's Tower, been up in both, a wow experience. There is a beautiful restaurant at the top of Lake Point Tower also, with a great view and great food. If you want to pay $10.00 for a small cup of coffee, however also simply mystifying.
