    Trying to recall the name of an 80's halloween movie
    I need help figuring out the name of a movie I from my teenage years that I have not been able to track down since then. It was on TV every year around halloween in the early 90s so I'm guessing it came out in the mid 80's. I am hesitant to call it a horror movie because it was kind of a light/fun movie from what I remember... think "House".

    I think the plot revolved around a whole town of people turning into zombies (I'm a little sketchy on this part). The one thing that I remember for sure is that the resolution of the movie had something to do with a ring. I can see in my mind the lead character (young guy, maybe a high school or college student) pressing the ring into candle wax on a scroll or a letter. I think this was part of the ending.

    Sorry I don't remember more... if I did I probably would be able to figure out what this movie is named.
