    Basement water drain
I have a drain in the basement that started overflowing whenever the washing machine gets rid of the water to start the rinse cycle. The drain is right in from of the washing machine. Is there anything that I can do to alleviate this problem?

Floor drains normally have a removable plug so you can rod them. This drain line is cloged downstream from the floor drain and washer. Remove the plug and rod as far as you can.
