Old Platinum Clasp?
Hi, I have an old double strand black & white pearl necklace strung with a white metal clasp, marked only:
PM 70 Could this mean the clasp is 70% Platinum? I am hoping it is real, perhaps the PM 70 stands for 70% Platinum Metal? I have not come across "PM" before, usually I have seen "pt" or PLATINUM. It belonged to my grandmother, but unfortunately her Alzheimer's disease has progressed so far she can't tell me the age or anything. Any thoughts? Thanks, Kate |
