Kammiepooh that was a lame comment you made, as well as prejudging one's own actions. I rarely watch tv and when I do I only watch Discover, Nat Geo, History Channel, CNN, MSNBC. And I am definitely a book worm and bet I have more books in one room than you had in 1 lifetime. I also enjoy creating websites, programming, and action scripts as I am a web designer..so to misapprehend one's intelligence is a falacy on your part. To categorize everyone here as one race or ethnic group is stereotypical and judgemental. We come from all backgrounds, all colors, and all nationalities.
It doesn't make you any better coming on this forum every waking hour of the day harassing the other members. Did you read my previous post carefully that I had written to you? Please re-read it for clarification purposes before you are reported. Please find another forum to harass or read a few intellectual literatures at your local library. I notice your handwriting isn't too lovely either Peace.
Oh...I did have one question. Why do you perm/relax your hair?...
I DON'T. It's all natural. And I love It!

I agree with Super shallow ! It is S-I-C-K. But at lease Supper Shallow is intelligent enough to realize that she needs help. Most of the people on this blog are probably uneducated with low self esteem. Many of their posts are grammatically incorrect. Some try to compare this sick ritual to changing hair color or putting on lip stick but under their thin lightened skin they secretly dislike themselves. You don't have to take anything back that you posted. It IS WEIRD.
Wow.
You sure do think a lot of yourself.
For someone that claims to be so intelligent you certainly don't know how to have an intelligent informed discussion.
Oh, by the way, this isn't a blog, it's a question answer site.
Seeing as you didn't ask a question, just went on your little rant, I think this thread should be closed.
This is not how we do things here. If you want to talk down to people, complain about things they do, then find another podium to do it on.
Of course you probably wouldn't say this to someone's face, it's much easier to hide behind a computer.

I will not post my photos. Some of the people on this site seem to be unstable. I am 55 years old. I have natural locks. My 2 daughters have natural hair but wear their hair free style. I have a daughter with light skin and one with dark skin. I made them aware of the prejudices in our society when they were small. They both respect people of all ethnic back grounds regardless of their skin color and demand respect back. When you are proud of who you are, and accept your differences-because each ethnic group's features are different, society respects you! Lol

Unstable
Can you show examples of the unstability you see on the skin lightening board?
Or do you need to get the examples from the other boards on the site?

Unstable? LMAO! That's funny.
As for this respect you claim to have. I find that very unlikely. If you treat the people in your life the way you've treated the people on this site, I doubt very much that they feel anything for you but disdain.
So you made your daughters aware of prejudices, I'm sure they saw prejudice first hand, from you. You do realize, don't you, that this entire post is about your prejudice towards people that lighten their skin. You claim to be intelligent, so you must see that.
If both your daughters respect people regardless of their skin color, then how do you explain your hatred of people that lighten their skin?
Really, you're not making any sense. Try again.

Since you have only spoken of these things verbally and not showing proof, I can only take your word with a grain of salt. I'm sure you have heard at least one time in your life of someone talking down on what you for you choosing to wear your hair in dreadlocks, as well as trying to verbally force you to change. I know this for a fact because I have been on both sides of the fence and can speak of both experiences equally. I wore my hair natural for 7 years (and yes I'm still in my 20's), now I only press my hair. I learned that whichever decision I made with my appearance, people were always only trying to force me to change it and prejudge. Whether it was for me choosing to be light or brown, natural or straight... I have experiences with too many people only trying to judge others on the outside instead of trying to get to know who they are on the inside. It is not about them, but it is about one's happiness and freewill.
I believe we can at least decide to agree to disagree. Because there is nothing wrong for someone to voice their own opinion and beliefs, I am an attentive listener. But, you should not try and force others to do what you desire because that will only cause people to become defensive. They will not be able to listen to what you are saying when you automatically prejudge, discriminate against them, and continuously putting them down without trying to get to know and understand them.

I see that you have avoided to respond to my last post, as there is little left for you to say. And you spelled "didain" wrong, it's spelled d-i-s-d-a-i-n. Hope you enjoy finding something else more constructive to do like what N0help4u
Said with the fur coats... so ta ta

My skin whitening obsession? That's funny.
I tan, I don't whiten, actually, I burn, but that's not the point.
I'm caucasian, not that that should make a difference. You offended me because you have no right to choose what other people do. You're prejudice is offensive, and I had to say something about it.
You see, unlike you, I really do accept people for who they are, not the color of their skin.
