    Divorce in MD by default
I filed for divorce in MD (adultery). My husband promissed to signed papers. It's been 30 days since he received summons, but he didn't send the answer. He is living with another woman and he wants to stay married to me only for taxes ( he does't want to pay as a single) but I want a divorce. Can I file for default after 30 days? Is the FORM DR-54 the only one need to be filed for default divorce or do I need something else?

    Thank you for your help!

That looks to be the correct form but it may have to meet other requirements inorder to be entered as a default judgement. It may be enough to get a limited divorce in your state but not an absolute divorce. You have proper grounds for an absolute divorce but under normal conditions because there is no other side you may end up waiting the full 2 years before a default ( absolute ) divorce can be entered.
