    Age Difference
I have a boyfriend soon to be 18 and I'm soon to be 16 and we've been friends since 7th grade and are now in 11th. We've been dating for about 5 years and the beginning was working out fine until it came to about 2 1/2 years his mom starts to cause problems. I know that we can't get into trouble because its only a 2 year difference, but people are making up stories saying that we had sex and we didn't. The other day she took his phone and car from him so he can't get a job so her can't move out of there. She is now saying that she is going to turn my mom in to welfare because she is letting us do stuff which is not true. What will happen if the cops believe them over us? How can I get this stuff to end? :(

Right now it may be better if you just cool things down a bit so his mom isn't in hysterics. His mother is probably worried about you being under 16 and him being 18.
What state do you live in?

Make sure that you don't have sex with him.
I think that she would have to prove that you were having sex. Do you think she would really go as far as getting the police involved with the risk of him going to jail and being labeled a sex offender?

As a parent I would be worried too, whether what your doing is innocent or not. His mom can cause you both big time trouble. You have been dating since you were 11, so yes I would be worried about you both.

Sorry but your jail bait to him, so cool it, and avoid unnecessary problems. Yeah parents can be like that, but the are only trying to protect their children the best they can.

    He's 18, you're 16 and you're both in the 11th grade?

You've been dating for 5 years?

    Something isn't right here. :(

A two year difference at your age is not too much, especially if you have been in a committed relationship for several years.

The age of consent is many areas is 16 so having sex with you could land him in trouble.

Was it his car and cellphone? Obtained by him with his money or was they provided by his parents? If the latter, then he can't do anything. But if he purchased them himself, they have no right to take them away.

Once he's 18 he can move out to anywhere he wants. So he can then get a job etc.

If she makes accusations against your mom, she can sue her for harassment.

1: Why would you need to defend yourself if you DIDN'T do anything?
2: Do you even know the age of consent? In most states, it's sixteen. You're fifteen. In some states it's seventeen or eighteen. It's the difference between your ages that legally matters, it's you're age.

Alt, I completely agree. That would mean that she would graduate at the same time as him, three years younger. She was skipped up, he was held back, OR, he was held back twice.
Honey, if what you say is true (and I'm beginning to doubt) then you're supposed to be too smart for him. :)
