    Toilet trouble
My house is three years old. I am on a well. Upstairs toilet tank is not filling up like it used to. It only comes up halfway now, not much for flushing. How do I adjust the water level in the tank so it comes back up to where its supposed to be?

We can help but we have to know what it is that we're helping with. Which of these is your ballcock? Let me know, Tom

I set the tank level by adjusting the height of the float ball.
There are two ways to do this, 1) by adjusting the screw on top of the ballcock, **or** 2) (My personal favorite) Grasp the rod just ahead of the float ball, (See image , do not grab the ball itself) with one hand and next to the ballcock with the other.
Bend the rod up to increase the tank level and down to decrease the level. The tank level should be set at 1/2 inch under the top of the white overflow tube. Good luck, Tom

I am installing a new toilet in a basement. The flange has been cemented on and is too high for the toilet to sit flush on the floor. It is a 3" drain. What are my options.
