    What's the name of this old movie?
    OK I need your help I'm going insane!

    Its NOT ET AND ITS NOT MAC AND ME!

    OK so all I can remember is there's a boy. And a purple shell like space ship that can talk finds him, the government or something takes the space ship and tries to hide it, the boy finds the ship and tries to free it, in side the space ship there is an eye, and it talks, and a small creature that would be in the ship, the space ship kind of has a sense of humor and is a wise , lol I'm going isane help does anyone know??

    I'm 22 years old, but I think it was around the 80s, I do remember mac and me and et so mabey same time frame!
