    Chipped my tooth today!
Hi today I just chipped one of my teeth (the ones next to the front) I hope someone can answer my questions. I will be going to the dentist asap, but the earliest apointment is in about a week :/

How long until it gets infected? Is using mouthwash still OK? It doesn't hurt or anything, I just don't want it to scale into something dangerous.

    Thanks.

Unless it is bleeding from inside the tooth you'll be fine... It should just need a large composite filling but I don't know the whole story (if it is root canaled etc). For superior esthetics/longevity you may choose a crown or veneer.

Hey thanks, money is no problem I don't think. I chipped it trying to bite Moms burnt food (true story) its not a root canaled tooth but it did have a filling which came out as well, this is why I'm so worried about it. I just hope they don't pull it, not because of cosmetic but I eat with those teeth the most haha.

Doesn't hurt, doesn't bleed, not sensitive, I'm just worried it will get infected in the weeks wait.

Keep it clean and you should have no problem. If the nerve was exposed you would be having sensitivity, especially to cold.
