I know... They are arachnida, but insecticides work great on those 'pests'. That's how I call them because they remove only little insects, but cause a lot of 'dirtiness' I had some small ones above my bed  and there had been some curious small brown dots on the bed... I found out that they were their poo  and the number of mosquitoes never decreased!!

LOL unfortunately, I got them removed with the broom... how they tried to escape! Muahahahaha!! All eliminated but one escaped... It'll find it's destiny in a near future. I got the electric 'racket' working, ZAP!! All the mosquitoes present fell stunned dead!

Love spiders, really love them. I'd have a pet tarantula if hubby wasn't such a scaredy cat.

Hate flies, annoying little buzzing vermin! They like to fly into my bunny cages because of the poo. I clean the cages everyday but still, flies, flies, flies buzzing around my bunnies. Me no likey!

    Die flies die!

Ooh, tarantula's eat flies. I may have found a way to convince hubby to get me a spidey! :)

Alty, my hols are in a month and half. They'll last for 3 weeks, now you need to remove the days where I'll have the MUN meeting (3 days), the RGSC project to finalise... phew!!

You are a busy boy. Maybe I should wait until you're finished with school altogether, then I'll send you the book as a graduation gift. :)

Only 3 weeks off? Do you get other long holidays throughout the year?

My kids get 2 months for their long break.

Ah yes, for the long ones, I get them by late October after the end of year exams. Then, I'm off until January. So different systems of education there in Canada and here in Mauritius ! :)

    Very different it seems.

My kids get the 2 month summer break, then a 2 week break for Christmas, then a 1 week spring break and a few other short breaks in between.

Summer really is the best time to have the long break, they can go outside, have fun. That's also when we take our camping trips. I love summer! :)

Ah! Ok! Our summer is in December, though the country is more often hit by cyclones in that period...

There's a thread in the Medical Conditions and Diseases about the health of hamsters... I was wondering if that would better be in the Other Pets section...

Nope... I'm not so sure how reporting works... I don't want them to say:

Why use the report for such a futile thing?

Hey, your thread has nearly reached 1500 posts... about only a hundred to go.

I've reported quite a few posts and never gotten into any trouble...

Usually just double posts or ones in the wrong topic.

    Thanks for asking Unky :)

    Yes and no.

My partner has been offered a job but it is 3 1/2 hours drive away which means he would have to drive down on a Sunday night, stay there with family for the whole week and drive back on Friday night.

It means I am going to be on my own all week, every week, but at least it's money!!
And he is going to keep looking for work closer in the mean time.

He is still working at his current job but that is ending very soon (boss hasn't given him an exact date yet)
So hopefully he will be able to start this new one relatively soon.

Plus his uncle owns a big fishing trawler and has a crayfish license and lives in the same place he is going so hopefully he can go out on the boat as well.

Ah, glad to hear that your hubby got a job, though it's quite far. I hope that he'll get a closer one. Are your paintings being really sold?

I haven't really been pushing it with the paintings yet.
I want to get a heap done so I can have a market stall and try to sell them that way first before I advertise or try e-bay.

I sold a husky painting to a friend for $40 so that's a start lol
I'll put a pic up but the colors look all funny because my camera sucks :p
