Will a bleach bath correct my hair disaster?
Hi There,
My hair was medium brown with 2 blonde flashes underneath and I wanted my hair dyed a caramelly reddy color, so I went to the hairdressers on Saturday and showed her a picture of isla fisher. She told me she was going to strip the blonde but she didn't have time, so she out a different color of red on the blonde than she did on the brown, then when it was finished I was shocked but she said it was nice so I went home with it THEN noticed it was 3 different colors and a mess. The roots are bright burnt red, the bottom is reddy brown and the bits that were blonde are blacky red. I phoned her and she was raging I didn't like it but told me to go back this Saturday and she would put a brown dye on it, but I told her I don't want a brown dye I want caramelly red LIKE I ASKED, and she said okay see you then. I paid £60 for it and I'm really annoyed. Someone said to me that if she bleach baths my hair and strips it then she can start from scratch and I can have the color I asked for, is this true? Please help me xx

If someone has to to tell you what a hairdresser can do, then that hairdresser is no good. Pick a salon that has a good reputation. The one you are going to sounds no good at all.
Sure you can have what you want if you have all the colour stripped from your hair and done over, but look how damaged your hair must be now from what your previous hairdress did to it.
I am not an advocate of over-working hair.

Hi colour does not lift colour... u do really need to have the colour stripped you might have to do this more then once to get all the colour out and back to virgin hair.
Red is a horrid colour to get out if it goes wrong or you decide you don't like it.. also if you have had a colour from asda or somewhere and you go to a salon to have there colours put in it will not turn out the correct colour unless the home colour has been removed as they have matallic salts in them and the salon colour will not be able to lift and develop...
My advice is to stip the colour do it more then once (go to a salon to have this done) and start fresh...
Hope you get the colour you want and hopefully it won't take to long
p.s get a deep conditioning treatment and keep putting it in your hair and leave it in for a while as this will help repair the hair due to all the chemicals being put on it..
It will feel rough for a bit but in time it will get better xx

How harmful is bleach for your hair? Lots of people advise not to do it. I have black hair and am dying to have a light brown with no red orangey color in it!! So now I know it has to be bleached, so is there a way to minimise the damage? I have weak hair.
Please tell me what can I do?and what...

Info on myself. Blue eyes, fair skin, pink undertones, natural hair color is dark blond. Last month I had my hair dyed a dark blonde. BTW, this was done professionally. The top area came out with dark blonde, gold/ red tones, and does not match my skin tone. I would like to be more in the neutral...
