Wireing of a Rheem Compressor to th. And furnace
Ok the wires that come from the thermostat are red, white, green, blue, and I have white and red coming from the compressor unit. The thermostat wires are connected to red to red, white to white, and green to green blue is connected to yellow. Coming from the compressor red is connected to yellow in the unit and the white is connected to brown. When they come inside to the house and connect to the furnace what one go's to the c and what one go's to the yellow. And dose the blue wire go to the yellow??

I have a Rheem 5 ton AC unit installed in May 1996. Model RAMA 060JAZ. It seems the compressor is 'kaputt' (gone in German), it has a short and trips the breaker. The compressor was acting funny lately. Can this compressor be replaced on site, or does the complete unit has to be replaced?
