Champlain flapper
I have a 79 low profile toilet and can't find a flapper ball large enough to stop the flow.
Any ideas?
The model is K 3385 or 3685

Your post left a lot of questions unanswered . Champlain isn't the brand of toilet that you have and the model numbers don't match up. Here are the new and the old Kohler Chanplain toilets,(see images) as you can see they don't take a flapper but a flush ball. Check them out at ; PlumbingSupply.com - Champlain Toilet Repair Parts By Kohler
Let me know if this is the wrong toilet and if it is please send me better information so I can research it farther.l Good luck, Topm

That is what is stamped inside the tank. Maybe when I bought new guts they are different.
You are correct it is a ball, but the new one is too small. The one on the left is correct.
I guess I need to remove 51344 arm to remove the rod that holds the ball and put a longer rod on it. K30668 KOHLER ROCHELLE/POMPTON K9235/K9242 Detail Page
BTW it has a square front

If you had a longer lift wire would the flush ball seat? Let me know, Tom

The lift wire has threads that screw into the flush ball. You simply unscrew it

.
You didn't get a exact replacement? What parts did you change? Regards, Tom

Hey Sam, I've located data on your K-3385 Toilet, click on : Kohler Plumbing
However to download the specs I nned to install Adobe Flash and my computer won't allow me to. Over to the right of the sheet are the specs. Can you down load the flush valve specs and get back to me? Regards, Tom

Flapper Won't Go Down After Flushing
[ 2 Answers ]
I recently had a toilet removed to replace the flange which was leaking. When it was reinstalled, I asked for a new handle since the old one was corroded. Since the new handle was put in the flapper will not go back down after it flushes. It just stands on end until you jiggle the handle. I...
