    Flushing uphill Toilets Systems
Where could I learn about installing a toilet flushing system that can be put in a basement with a Septic tank system. Do they make toilets that flush up hill? Where can I read about that system and how much to they cost and are they hard to install?

TKR... check out Saniflo macerating and gray water pumping systems These systems are macerating pumps that allow you to install a bathroom (or toilet) anywhere you want... ;)

Otherwise, there are also the inground or above ground sewage ejector systems.. check them out at www.zoeller.com These systems require special piping below floor or above floor with joists. http://zoeller.thomasnet.com/viewite...ems?&forward=1

Finally, check out this last webpage: http://www.inspect-ny.com/septic/waterless.htm This page has waterless and chemical type toilets... safe for septics... ;)

Let me know if you need more info... have installed all types here.

    massplumber2008,

Thanks for the info. I was looking at the "Saniflo" and also the "Turboflush" and was wondering if you knew of any negative things about these systems. I think they look good but if you have installed them before and there is anything I need to be cautious about, please let me know. I know they say they can be put 80' away from the main oulet to the septic sysytem but does that have to be a straight shot or can it go around two corners then up to the outlet connection?
    Thanks again,

Hi you can get devices made by a company called saniflo (Saniflo macerator pumps)

Basically it sits behind your toilet and is a macerator which takes the waste from a 4inch pipe down to one which is either 22mm tube or 28mm.
If you look on there site it will tell you what model you need i.e if its just a toilet, toilet and basin. And how long the run of pipe can be.
Running vertical reduces the length the waste pipe can be run.
The units can be fairly straight forward to fit. Toilet pushes into pan connector on unit sealed with a jubilee clip then power supply is needed and new waste is run to desired position from unit!
Units make a bit of noise but can be quitened down if put in a boxing with insulation put round them.

    Regards
