In my neighbourhood grocery shop I came out of the shop with the item worth $47 dollar which I never intended to. I paid for the other items but I missed those items as I kept those in my bag but I was so disturbed due to some personal reason that I totally forgotten. Finally the store manager caught me up but in the given scenario none of my reason's were entertained and they called the police. Police checked my background and found it my first offence and they took my details and allowed me to go home with the warning that I shouldn't come to this store for the next 3 yrs or so but I am worried what has happened ? I have never intended to do so but no one listetned to me as all the circumstances were against me. Please suggust what should I do ? Is this is going to effect my background as I am in temprerory WP in canada which I am applying for extension.. will I receive any furthur notification from them ?

You forgot you had $47 worth of merchandise in a bag? That's called stealing $47 worth of merchandise. I wonder why they didn't believe you - ?

It would "appear" that the incident is over - I'd stay out of the store and out of trouble.

You are obviously in Canada and there obviously is a Police Report. Difficult to know if this would show on a background check but, yes, I believe it would, particularly because the Police ran a background check on you.
