I'm doing good, getting ready to go home in a bit. How are you doing Bear?

Ah, your brother talked to you, that's why. Trust me, the schools don't do jack anymore, I can't leave it up to them. Also, he's the oldest, the only other people he can go to are his friends, talk about misinformation.

My parents had the talk with me long after the horse left the barn, I was 14. Ooh, that doesn't sound good. Okay, yes, I was young, stupid, did I mention young and stupid? This is what scares me though, he's almost 11, that doesn't leave me much time for him to get the facts straight.

I wasn't always careful, in fact, I was downright reckless, got lucky, really lucky, I should be dead, I'm not, someone was looking out for me. I don't want my kids to play russian roullette like I did, I can't imagine that my luck will hold forever.

Wow, this started all in fun, but it's got me thinking. This is a good thing, I'm glad, because I've been putting it off.

He's home from school right now, just him and me. Maybe it's the right time to sit down together. I'll let him ask the questions, let him lead the conversation, then I'm having a beer or 5! ;)

Any suggestions how to start this? Adam, you're the youngest one here. What would you want to hear if you were 10 and your mom sat you down for the talk? Remember, I'm not the typical mom though, so, knowing me, what would you expect or want to hear?

I'm good thanks one of my best friends got married this weekend and a good friend of ours came over to attend the wedding and we've just been drinking non stop till Sunday morning, ahh good times :D

Well, without overbearing him, I would just go over the basics like you already have. Then Tell him the importances of safe sex. You could always scare him into always being safe. Ya know, maybe a video about this kind of thing is out there, if not, we should get together and make one.

The most I have had to discuss with my son about the whole "sex" talk is when they started the girls in fourth grade for the informational videos and they had to wait until sixth. My son preceded to tell me it was crap because "GIRLS DO NOT MATURE FASTER THAN BOYS"... boy then I knew he didn't have a clue. He says that his dad has sat him down for the talk...

I remember when I found out, my step-mom sat me down and gave me ALL the details and I remember thinking... EWWW that is the grossest thing ever and then I wondered how many people had to go to the doctor when the penis gets stuck...

Should I do the condom over the banana trick, or is that too much.

Shouldn't my hubby be having this talk? I'll take Sydney, he can take Jared. Sydney's 6, I have a few years left, I can prepare!

I think it's fair, father = boys puberty; mother - girls puberty...

When I was 10 I saw Dolly Parton in a movie, I cried all night, I didn't ever want boobs as big as hers. Now, here I sit, a 32F. What the heck? :(

Ya, I think it's fair too. But hubby would probably stutter through the whole thing. My problem is that I'd probably give too much info, turn my son into a sex maniac.

As for scaring him, well, it didn't work on me! :eek:

I am happy with my 36C, only because my Mom is an A, a barely there A, so I am happy with what I ended up with. Could have been worse.

My work here is done! ;)

My mom was a B, so was I until I had the kids. I went up one cup size with each pregnancy and then a few more just because. It sucks, clothes aren't easy to find, heck, either are bras, a 32F isn't very common. :(

I haven't seen many Fs in my day. Well actully none. My fiancé has either d's or dd's. I am happy with them.
